Localis’ chief executive, Alex Thomson, spoke for BBC Radio about the upcoming council elections:
“Every [local] election is based on what matters to people in that locality, some of that will be about local services but there are also important decisions about what happens in the coming four years because local government will be under more financial pressure.”
“There’s a real question mark about how the cuts and efficiencies are achieved, and who you vote for will determine that.”
Alex also discussed the wider implications of the council elections and what success will look like for each of the major parties.
