Localis’ chief executive, Alex Thomson, spoke for BBC Radio on the Growth Deal funding announcement.
“The scope of what they are announcing today is absolutely as expected. I think it’s a good thing/ I think it’s a good thing that local areas right across the country, both cities and county region are getting leaders to boost growth in their areas, and it’s not just good for them it’s good for the national interest as well.”
Alex also discussed the role of LEPs and further financial devolution.
