Statutory notices need to shift into the 21st Century, according to communities secretary Eric Pickles.
The secretary of state has launched a pilot, calling for councils, local papers and others to find ways of delivering information like planning applications to the public through technology and new communications.
Mr Pickles claimed the way we consume information has ‘dramatically changed’ and ‘statutory notices need to change too.
