Danny, champion of devolved property taxes

Chief secretary to the Treasury, Danny Alexander, has signalled his willingness to devolve a raft of property taxes to London – it has emerged.
And in a fringe event at the Liberal Democrat conference in Glasgow yesterday, Mr Alexander, who will serve as vice-chair of the Coalition devolution Committee led by former foreign secretary William Hague, suggested he would push for London’s right to hold onto property revenues to fund infrastructure projects.
