Localis will be launching a major new report on the future of Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) in Westminster on Monday 2nd March at 1:30pm.
Rt Hon Oliver Letwin MP, Minister for Government Policy, has kindly agreed to speak at the launch. His speech will be followed by a panel debate taking questions from the floor with panel guests including Clive Betts MP (Chair of the CLG Select Committee), Lord Shipley (Liberal Democrat peer and Government Cities Adviser) and Mike Blackburn (Chair, Greater Manchester LEP).
With the long-term future of LEPs underpinned by cross-party consensus, the report, sponsored by Lloyds Banking Group, considers what the next parliament could and should hold for LEPs. In particular it addresses what powers and funding for LEPs will best enable them to help drive economic growth across the country as well as the reciprocal structural reforms needed to bring greater accountability and transparency.
